Kickin Trixi

New to the Northern Ireland's Rock scene are Dungannon's Kickin Trixi who are a lively and enthusiastic bunch of lads with youth definitly on their side. Their set was brief but certainally left a good impression us. The covers of 'Anarchy in the UK' and 'Mother i'm coming home' went down well with the crowd but it was the bands own track 'Lady Luck' which stuck in my head. It had some great glam riff's which were played with gusto by Crippy. Kickin Trixi ar a band to keep an eye on and their young drummer is set to be another Tommy Lee. Look forward to seeing these guys again.

Fables Last Stand

This was the Geordie sleaze rockers 2nd visit to RocKD and they got a good reception. Kicking of with 'Road Religion' frontman Roachie and guitarist Twiggy (or Jack Sparrow:) ) showed plenty of attitude to get the crowd warmed up.

'Bite the Hook' is the guys first single went down a storm, plenty of groove and heavy rock is just what you need on a Saturday afternoon and Fables Last Stand know how to create the perfect party atmosphere.

The bands sleaze rock tracks were heavy enough to please the usual Katy's crowd and the guys left behind a great atmosphere. The band have only been together for 2 years and hopefully when they come back to Belfast they will have some new material cause I could have happily listened to them all day!!
