This show was filmed in 2004 in the Hammersmith Apollo, so it’s taken quite a while for it to be released.
I saw this particular tour when it came to Belfast so it’s nice to have a DVD of the same show. (And the same shirt, in David Coverdale’s case. I hope he washed it in between.)

David still has a terrific voice and looks good for his age, although he does appear to be caked with five layers of make-up. His between-song banter is funny too- he tells some woman her tits “are inspiring.” What a silver-tongued charmer.

There is a drum and guitar solo halfway through, both of which I find quite dull, but if you like that kind of thing you will love it. For some reason I found the guitar solo on this DVD quite bearable, though. This may or may not have had something to do with the fact that it was Doug Aldrich. I really don’t know…

Highlights are Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City and Here I Go Again, of course. Closing song Still Of The Night is excellent too.

I would say this DVD is a must for any Whitesnake fan as the band sound great throughout. Definitely one to watch again, and it captures the atmosphere of the concert well.

Also included in this release is a bonus CD of the show, so if you tire of looking at David Coverdale’s plastic surgery you can always listen to it instead!
