This is the Bournemouth band’s first release since changing their name from their previous incarnation, Cold Earth.

With influences of Bon Jovi and Aerosmith, amongst others, Voodoo Vegas deliver straight up hard rock.

Sweet Mary Jane is a good opening song and pure no-nonsense rock and roll. The guitar sounds great and Little Lisa is probably my favourite track- with dirty (in a good way) lyrics and a catchy chorus. The backing vocals add a nice touch, too.

Good Girls Go Bad For Rock And Roll, while probably my least favourite of the three songs, has a great guitar solo and good shout-along moments.

These fast-paced songs are complemented by Lawrence Case’s high-pitched screaming vocals.

All the songs sound very raw, and while that isn’t a bad thing, I think that with access to better production, the guys could sound really, really good.

An energetic and thoroughly enjoyable demo- Voodoo Vegas rock!
