There isn't much glam to come out of Italy (well none that I know of) so I was intrigued when i received this CD from Italy's Pink Lizard. 'Rock N Roll Injection' is their second EP, containing 4 original tracks which were mastered by King's X guitarist Ty Tabor.

Made up of A.L.E on vocals, Mauro on guitar, Becky on bass and Nico on drums, each member is heavily influenced by the LA 80's music scene and these influences, eg Motley Crue, Guns N Roses and Faster Pussycat, are very evident when listening to the CD.

So we kick of with the first song 'R N' R Injection' and right away things sound promising. This song has a fantastic chorus, I absolutely love the drumming on this track. There are no weak tracks on the CD although 'R N' R injection' is my personal favourite.

The distorted vocals at the start of 'Dress yourself' work very well, and I feel they should have made more of this, as the chorus becomes a little repetitive towards the end.

'Insomnia' once again has some great drumming and great guitar hooks, the quieter bridge in this song makes a difference and gives each musician a chance to really demonstrate what they are capable of (which is impressive).

This CD has it all, great tunes, great musicians, slap bass and cowbells. Pink Lizard deserve more publicity outside Italy cause the world needs this kind of rock n roll injection (do you like my pun??)
