It is five years since Buckcherry released their last album 'Time Bomb' and during these five years the different members focused on their own projects and it seemed that the world was to be starved of the collective brilliance of the band.

There are only two of the founding members of Buckcherry in the current line-up, tattooed mad man lead singer, Josh Todd and guitarist Keith Nelson. The three new members Xavier Muriel, on drums, Stevie D, on guitar and and bassist Jimmy Ashhurst, may have brought a new energy to the band but no one can deny that Josh Todd has refueled and is back as charismatic as ever.

From the moment the guitars in the first track 'So Far' wail out of the stereo you just know that once again Buckcherry have came up with a true Rock N Roll party album!!

The band have strayed to far from their typical sleaze rock sound however songs like the ballad 'Sorry' are perhaps not typical of the band's style. In saying that its a great song and it's nice to see them breaking the mold ever so slightly. 'Onset', although it does have the typical Buckcherry guitar sound, varies slightly in the chorus and the backing vocals give a slightly more radio friendly feel than other tracks.

'Brooklyn' has a bluesy guitar sound that emphasize's Todd's impassioned vocals even more than the usual heavier guitar hooks.

The lyrics in most of the songs are the usual subject matter... sex, women, sex with women!!! And nowhere is this more evident than on the first single to be taken from the album 'Crazy Bitch'. This is a song that has one of the best guitar hooks to be heard in years, it's heavy bass and pounding drums makes it sound as though it would be right home in a strip joint. However Buckcherry need to release another single of the album soon as 'Crazy Bitch' is in danger of being over played.

It's great to have Buckcherry back and this latest release is almost on par with their self titled debut.
