Former Salty Dog bassist Michael Hannon is back with American Dog and their latest CD is just begging to be a soundtrack to a low down and dirty bar room brawl.

Its a big, solid, dirty, sleazy hard rock record from the three American Dog boys.

Opening with the swagger and power of 'Workin Man' which sets the tone well for the entire album. The tone being that the vast majority of the songs are about sex, drinking or fighting. That's what rock n roll is all about.

The riff ladden tracks such as 'Got you by the chain' and 'Lucky 13' show guitarist Steve Theado in a better light and highlight what an accomplashed player he is without getting the feeling that he is showing off.

I love the old time swing feel to 'Ain't she pretty' and it is good to see that the band are starting to mix things up a bit.

Tracks like 'Faded' and 'Conviction' show up just how well Michael Hannon's drawl tinged vocals suit the music and give all the songs the dirty sleazy feel.

American Dog are touring the UK this summer... look up your daughters, wives, sisters and maybe even your granny until they go!!!
