After listening to this 6 song ‘album’ I was surprised to read that Italy’s G.L.A.S have been going for 18 years (hence the title.) Upon first listen I honestly thought this was a demo from some brand new band rather than people who have been making music for almost two decades. Oh dear, that doesn’t bode well for the rest of the review, does it?

The production isn’t great, with Alex "Midnight" Moschini ‘s vocals drowning out the other instruments. And due to the fact that at times they can be quite weak, that is really not a good thing. I think in general not a lot of time has been spent on the songs and while the production perhaps doesn’t do them justice, it would be a lie if I said the production was the only thing wrong with it.

There are some promising elements- No More Lonely Days, No More Lonely Nights is a nice tune, however on this song it is particularly evident that English is not the guys first language. But like I said, it is an okay song and unlike the others, is actually something vaguely pleasurable to listen to.

While I’ll gladly admit that, like most people, there are some AOR tracks I secretly and guiltily like, overall G.L.A.S’s AOR is just too bland. I do feel quite mean for laughing at some of it, but when there are song titles like ‘The Sweet Sound Of The Falling Rain’, I can’t help it.

The liner notes have a thankyou ‘for having made this dream come true…’ so I guess as long as G.L.A.S are happy with it, that’s the main thing.
