He's fronted Love/Hate, recorded with LA Guns, sung with Ratt, and experienced Steven Adler's erratic behaviour first hand, but today JIZZY PEARL may have reached the pinnacle of his career... answering some questions for HairMetalIreland!

He told us about his new book, gave us his opinion on Steven Adler, and most importantly… told us what the hell ‘Yucca Man’ from the Wasted In America album was all about!

Anyway, Jizzy got these answers back to us extremely quickly, so a big thankyou to him for being so helpful. He rocks, so please be good little hair metallers and go and buy his new book when it’s released in March!

1. LOVE/HATE FEATURE ON THE HOLLYWOOD ROCKS BOX SET- IN THE ACCOMPANYING BOOKLET, IT STATES THAT YOU USED TO USE A TOWER OF BUDWEISER TINS AS A MICROPHONE STAND. IS THAT TRUE AND DID YOU DRINK ALL THE BEER YOURSELF?!

That was actually a large cross made of Bud cans and it was Skid, not myself that swung that around.but I can say that I wholeheartedly contributed to the making of it.


2. WHAT WAS IT LIKE BEING PART OF THAT WHOLE LA SCENE, AND DID YOU THINK AT THE TIME THAT IT WOULD BECOME SUCH A LEGENDARY ERA FOR METAL?

I didn't realize at the time how cool it was-but in retrospect it was a great time, a time that will never return


3. FOLLOWING 2005's 'VEGAS MUST DIE', DO YOU HAVE ANY PLANS FOR ANOTHER
SOLO ALBUM?

I suppose so. I just finished my third book UNHAPPY ENDINGS and I will release that in March 2006


4. YOU WROTE THAT ALBUM AFTER MOVING TO LAS VEGAS- HOW DOES IT COMPARE TO LA?

You can drink all night in Vegas---very dangerous place


5. STEVEN ADLER HAS RECENTLY REPLACED THE WHOLE OF ADLER'S APPETITE (TWICE IN ABOUT 3 WEEKS IF RECENT REPORTS ARE TO BE BELIEVED)- ARE YOU GLAD YOU GOT OUT OF THAT PARTICULAR BAND WHEN YOU DID?

I wish that Steven could sober up, he's a nice person when he's sober.


6. YOU'VE HAD TWO BOOKS PUBLISHED- 'I GOT MORE CRICKETS THAN FRIENDS' AND 'ANGST FOR THE MEMORIES.' DO YOU CONSIDER YOURSELF TO BE AS MUCH A WRITER AS YOU ARE A MUSICIAN, AND WOULD YOU EVER WRITE A FULL NOVEL?

I'd like to be a full-time writer one day although I'll probably still be singing from my wheelchair


7. YOU HAVE A SECTION IN YOUR WEBSITE WWW.JIZZYPEARL.COM ENTITLED 'RANTS.' DOES IT HELP YOU TO WRITE DOWN ANYTHING THAT'S PISSING YOU OFF, AND DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING TO RANT ABOUT TO US?

I rant in my new book about many things, my fucked up government, the prescription drug companies and their evil, TV, just about everything. I suppose it helps me but it doesn't change anything


8. DO YOU STILL ENJOY BEING OUT ON THE ROAD, AND WHAT'S THE CRAZIEST/MOST MEMORABLE THING THAT'S HAPPENED TO YOU WHILE TOURING?

I do enjoy touring, it is an acquired lifestyle. I have had about a million crazy things that have happened to me but I never feel like talking about them



9. WHAT ONE MUSICIAN WOULD YOU LIKE TO COLLABORATE WITH, LIVING OR DEAD?

John Lennon or Elton John


10. WILL YOU BE IN RATT FOR THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE, AND IS THERE ANY PLANS
FOR AN ALBUM?

My tenure in RATT is anyone's guess-I wish we would make some music but it probably won't happen


11. WHO, OR WHAT, IS A YUCCA MAN AND WHAT IS THAT SONG ABOUT!

Yucca man is about Jon, the old L/H guitarist. Yucca street is in Hollywood, a place that sells drugs


12. FINALLY, ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SAY?
