Bio:
Twisted Rose, a four piece from Co. Tyrone, have been described as having
the swagger of the early Guns N’ Roses, the sleaziness of the “rocks”
era Aerosmith, and the power and style to show you how real guitar licks
should sound. Starting out in 2003, they have built a steady collection
of face melting originals, sure to get some heads-a-bangin!
The
self-proclaimed highlight of their career was when they had the opportunity
to open for ex-Guns N’ Roses drummer Steven Adler’s current
band, Adler’s Appetite, in the Rosetta Bar, Belfast. Meeting an
icon like Steven Adler was for them an awe-inspiring experience, although,
they have had there fair share of encounters, having met, and on occasion
hung out with stars like L.A Guns, Kerri Kelli, Lars Ulrich, Alice Cooper,
Roger Taylor and Duff Mc Kagan, Matt Sorum, Dave Kushner and Slash from
rock super group, Velvet Revolver.
The originality of the band is what seems to gain them so much attention.
There are very few bands that sound or indeed act like Twisted Rose in
the Northern Irish music circuit. When you come to the show, you are guaranteed
more than just a night of good music, but rather a spectacle, which all
comes down to the fact that to them the show is as important as the music.
Kerri Kelli, formerly of Warrant, Adler’s Appetite, Vince Neil and
Slash’s Snakepit has been spotted wearing a TR shirt on stage now
and again. So whatever you look for in a good rocking band, you won’t
go away disappointed!
- "They enjoy what they do, and show it - they're very much a
"foot on the amp, turned up to 11" kind of band." - Buzz
Magazine
- "They seem to have a rather admirable policy of knowing what they
like and playing what they like - an uncompromising and refreshing approach,
and one that can only inspire respect."
- Robert MacIntosh
- "The best thing I've heard out of Ireland since Thin Lizzy"
- Darren Waters, Guitar Tech Black Label Society/L.A Guns
