Jay, Aaron and Rich Lang are founding members of the band, and have been following their dreams for the past 10 years! The band have never conformed to musical fashions, which has earned them both respect and exposure on their local music scene back in Leicester, UK.
Original songs are best described as 'melodic rock', taking influence from bands such as Whitesnake, Firehouse, Aerosmith, Deep Purple, Bon Jovi and alike.
The songs they write are all written with live performance in mind, something the band has worked tirelessly to perfect . The band have never failed to win the admiration of their audience, resulting in a large and enthusiastic fan-base throughout the East Midlands.

Jay is the front man of the band, and the oldest of the three brothers. As well as singing lead vocals, Jay also plays guitar . His powerful and distinctive voice is one of the key features of the band, and was recently described as "One of the finest english vocalist ive heard in a long time!"

Rich is the middle brother in the band and plays keyboards and sings backing vocals. Having keyboards in a rock band is something that is no longer common place, but yet is essential in order to write a more diverse range of songs, that aren't solely guitar driven. Rich provides a priceless contribution to the song writing process in the band.

Aaron is the youngest of the three brothers in the band, yet is without a doubt equally if not more musically accomplished. Having passed the highest grade rock school drums at just 13 years old, he has continued to develop his talent. He also joins Rich in singing backing vocals, which are something for which the band is renowned.

Ryan Bakewell is the newest member of the band, having been invited to join in may 2004. Platinum JAR felt that the band needed to improve on their live sound, so they called upon a talented bass guitarist to do just that.

Platinum JAR aim to bring back melodic, powerful & heartfelt rock songs to the masses.
