Baby Bitch
Bio -  Baby Bitch are a glampunkmetal band from Preston. They combine sweet glam-pop melodies with a huge metal stomp, to make tunes that are so infectious they should be illegal.

The band formed when solo artist Stephen Buckley fell into a vat of glitter. He was rushed to the Emergency Room, and just about survived. But his desire to sing sad songs had vanished. He began writing new material, with the intention of forming a band that would provide a life-affirming antidote to all that was dull and sexless, taking inspiration from the likes of Rachel Stamp, The Wildhearts, Marilyn Manson, and Guns 'n' Roses.

The Gods of Rock 'n' Roll smiled upon Stephen, and he came upon Wayne Cole and Adam Kendall, two sick-minded mutants who had been making music together for years, a tight and twisted musical unit with a sense of humour that was warped beyond decency, and a mutual love of Pitchshifter and other Drum'n'bass influenced metal. Wayne was some kind of perverted drum prodigy, having only played for a couple of years but somehow managing to be better than people with double his experience. Adam, appropriately named after the first Man, was a guitarist whose heavy-as-fuck style was peppered with his unsavoury influences from the likes of Beck and Primus.

The three began writing music and drinking irresponsibly. After first bass-player Andy parted amicably to join a death-metal band, the embryonic 'Bitch were drawn to Sean Womack, who looked like a rockstar before he even picked up an instrument. Quiet and mysterious, sexy and dressing to kill, Sean fitted right in, already knowing Stephen through their mutual love of Rachel Stamp, Queen Adreeena and Marilyn Manson.

The next member to join was talented multi-instruMENTAList Gerner, who played keyboard dressed in a blackshirt and white tie, like a man possessed. Althogh we later parted ways, his influence upon the band in the beginning cannot be understated.

Baby Bitch began gigging in January 2005, starting in Preston and picking up more fans at every gig. A victory at a Battle of The Bands in Blackburn was an early highlight. More gigs in Liverpool and Lancaster followed, and they got to the semi-finals of the Soundcontrol Battle of The Bands at The Mill in Preston, playing to around 200 people. They also played the outdoor festival at Avenham Park, going down a storm with the younger teenagers who wouldn't normally get to see us.

At the end of the summer of 2005, Gerner moved to pastures new, and the band decided to carry on without keyboards. Their songwriting became more focussed and natural, with everyone's input thrown into the mix. The result was spectacular. New songs such as Raging Hormones better than anything we had done before.

More succesful gigs followed,as they tore up Manchester and Blackpool, as well as picking up more fans in Blackburn, Lancaster, and Preston. With the emergence of Baby Bitch t-shirts, for the discerning Bitch fan, and stickers, which have been stuck in some very interesting places, the Baby Bitch fanbase stands out in any crowd. And is growing with every gig we play.

Their songs are infectious, the live performance is gutsy and tight, they look great, and the teenagers love them. What more could you want from a kick-ass rock'n'roll band?
